When Taege Engineering attempted to achieve this new feat many said it would never work and if a conventional point had been used the critics would have been right. Taege Engineering made the right decision to use Milson Foundry expertise and after several prototypes a direct drill point and seed boot was designed that was a global breakthrough. Its slim shape and sharp edge enabled it to penetrate successfully. The Nihard material and tungsten carbide leading edge meant the point could last 700-800 acres in stony conditions and the simple design meant fitting and replacing points and boots was a breeze.

Avenue Agriculture in the UK is a leading wholesaler of ground engaging parts. In 2006 they approached Milson Foundry with some ideas of casting some points. The R&D team worked with the team at Avenue Ag very closely with many visits to the UK to meet with farmers and other experts in this field who helped also with the development. In 2007 the Acre plus range of casting ground engaging points was born. Since that time Milson Foundry have worked very closely with the team at Avenue Ag and shown great innovative ideas along with the delevopment of applying different forms of hard facing or Tungsten carbide where this was most needed to counter extreme wear, not just apply it where it looked best or was easiest to apply. The Acre + range now is highly recognized and sort after by British farms up and down the UK and moving into Europe.
