Ni-Hard is a cast white iron that is alloyed with nickel and chromium which is suitable for sliding abrasion applications both wet and dry. Different hard facing option are able to be applied to Ni-Hard where extreme wear is expressed.

The most commonly specified Hi-Chrome iron is AS 2027 or Ni/BS 4844/ASTM-A532.
